Cookie policy

What is stored in the browser, and what is recorded without a cookie.

Essential

The admin area sets tmwv_admin after a successful login. It is httpOnly and is not set for ordinary visitors. The session ends after 12 hours without use, and it never lasts longer than seven days. Logging in again replaces that browser’s session. A second cookie, tmwv_csrf, is set on admin pages so a form posted from another site cannot change data while you are logged in.

tmwv_v stores the colour theme, as a, b or c. tmwv_x stores the variant for any other experiment on the pages you open. Neither cookie is set before you choose Accept analytics, and neither is set if you choose Essential only. Until then every experiment shows its default, and that visit is left out of the experiment results. After you choose Accept analytics, a variant is assigned and both cookies are stored for about 90 days so the same experiment continues. They are httpOnly. They do not hold your name, email, telephone or address, and they are not sent to an advertising network.

tmwv_vid, a random anonymous id, and tmwv_attr, a note of how you arrived, are set only after you choose Accept analytics or Essential only. They are not set before that choice. tmwv_attr stores the referring site's origin, UTM source, medium, campaign, term and content, the landing path, the time, and whether a Google (gclid), Meta (fbclid) or Microsoft (msclkid) click id was present. It does not store the click id itself, your name, email or telephone. The first visit is kept, and a later visit with a new campaign updates the last touch only. Both cookies are httpOnly and are not sent to an advertising network. The same arrival record can be stored on our server against the anonymous visitor id.

tmwv_consent_choice stores whether you chose analytics or essential only, so an enquiry can record that choice. It is not an advertising cookie. It lasts about 90 days.

Free tools

We remember which free tools you've used on this site so your report and any follow-up are relevant to you. The SEO check, quote calculator, audit, demos and booking page are remembered against the anonymous visitor id in tmwv_vid after you have made a cookie choice. That history is not tied to your name or email until you submit your email. If you have already sent an email from this browser, later use of those tools is added to the same enquiry. This is not an advertising cookie. Choosing Essential only still allows this first-party id. It does not load Google Analytics, Plausible or Microsoft Clarity. We use it for marketing follow-up only if you tick the marketing consent box on a form. Without that box, we use it to reply about the report or enquiry you asked for.

Your choice

A banner asks whether optional analytics may run. The choice is stored in local storage under tmwv-consent, not in an advertising cookie. Until you choose "Accept analytics", Google Analytics, Plausible and Microsoft Clarity are not loaded. If those tools are not configured on the server, accepting analytics does not add them. Choosing "Essential only", or clearing this choice, means Clarity is not loaded on later pages.

Microsoft Clarity

If a Clarity project id is configured, and only after you accept analytics, we load Microsoft Clarity. Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd processes that data for us. Clarity records how the page is used: heatmaps, how far people scroll, and session recordings. It sets analytics cookies such as _clck and _clsk. We tag each recording with the colour theme you were shown and a short page type, so the recordings can be filtered. That tag is not a separate cookie. If you accept analytics, we send that anonymous visitor id to Microsoft Clarity so a recording can be matched to this browser. We do not send your name, email or telephone. The id is the same anonymous value already stored in tmwv_vid. It is sent as a Clarity custom id and as a custom tag named tmwv_vid.

Text typed into the audit, project and contact forms is masked in those recordings. Clarity masks form fields by default, and those forms are also marked to stay masked. Do not type a password into them. Clarity is not loaded on the admin area. Clarity is a record of how the page was used. It is not how we decide which channel an enquiry came from. That comes from the essential attribution cookie above.

First-party events

If you choose "Accept analytics", we record anonymous events such as page views and form starts on our own server. Those events are stored with the theme and the anonymous visitor id, which is set only after a cookie choice. The request does not include your name, email or telephone. The path and the referring site's origin may be stored. Experiment results count only visitors who chose Accept analytics. Choosing "Essential only", or not choosing yet, means those events are not stored and the visit is not part of an experiment. The lawful basis is consent, and the records are kept for 14 months. Details are in the privacy policy. The free-tool memory above is separate and still applies after a choice.

Booking calendar

If a Cal.com or Calendly link is configured, the booking page does not load that calendar until you choose to open it. The calendar provider may then set its own cookies on its domain. You can ask for a call with the form on this site instead when no calendar is configured.

Changing your mind

Clear this site's local storage, or the tmwv-consent entry, and reload. The banner will ask again. You can also block cookies and scripts in your browser. The site still works if you refuse analytics.
