Example design
Mereworth & Co
Professional services. An example design for a small professional firm that needs to look precise without hiding how to get in touch.
Problem
A small firm of advisers has a site that was assembled quickly. It lists every service in the same weight, and a prospective client cannot tell who the firm is for.
What was wrong
Dense paragraphs, no summary of who they act for, a contact page that asks people to 'get in touch' without saying what happens next, and a template that could belong to any sector.
Strategy
Choose the four services that should bring work. For each one, say who it is for, what the first meeting covers and what it does not cover. Make the enquiry a request for that meeting.
Design
Restrained type, generous margins, and a contents-like navigation. Proof is specific: the kind of client and the kind of matter, written carefully, rather than anonymous stars.
Development
A calm multi-step enquiry that can be answered by the right person. Accessible forms, a privacy notice beside the fields, and a site the firm can edit without breaking the layout.
SEO
Service pages with precise titles, a real description of the work, and internal links that match how a client looks for help. Professional claims kept to what the firm can stand behind.
Result
The example is a site that explains four services properly and gives a new client an obvious first meeting to request.
Apply this thinking to your site.
The website check is free. A project conversation comes after, if you want one.
